Having originally graduated with a degree in Marketing, it didn’t take me long to realize I wanted to work with people going through difficult times. Through my own family experiences I understood how relationships help carry people through many of life’s obstacles. Coping with challenges in my family helped me gain a real life perspective of relationship dynamics and how everyone in the system is impacted by change.
Family therapy is a unique way to look at all the systems that impact daily life, decision-making, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Whether in an outpatient or hospital setting, I understand the importance of having a positive and down-to-earth relationship with everyone I work with. Every client needs to feel they are in a safe and understanding place to grow and heal.
As a Bucks County native, I appreciate everything that our beautiful area has to offer. I have been fortunate to travel, but am just as happy at home with my family, gardening, boating or hiking with my husband, daughter and rescue mixed-breed dog, Rox. Rox and I try to run or go for a walk daily. My husband is also a clinician and helps me maintain life and career balance.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults in an individual or family setting and run therapy groups to help children and adolescents with emotional regulation. I have experience working with many different diagnoses including ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, and child behavioral problems. I welcome all family members that clients feel would benefit them in their therapeutic journey.
I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from LaSalle University, and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Nationally Certified Trauma Therapist for children and adolescents.
I am currently the Chairman of the Board of the Pennsylvania Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (PAMFT) and the previous Bucks County Regional Director.
