Sandy 250pxI attended the University of Pennsylvania (BSN, MSN), and took additional graduate level course work at Temple University. I received my training in couples and family therapy at The Marriage Council of Philadelphia (now known as The Council for Relationships) and have been providing services to couples, individuals, and families since 1976. I am a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and certified as an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. 

I treat a wide variety of mental health concerns and individualize treatment to best meet client needs. My practice often includes cognitive behavior, and mindfulness based treatment.  I specialize in treating couples, depression, and working with individuals and families coping with major and chronic illness. I view therapy as an active, collaborative process between client and therapist, the purpose of which is improve client’s sense of efficacy and well-being.
