Therapy is similar to sitting with a friend whose only concerns are you and your family. This is a time and place to feel comfortable about sharing your story with no fear of judgment or reprimand. We talk for 45 minutes so I can learn about your concerns and needs for therapy. It’s OK if you are not sure what the “problem” is; sometimes you just feel something isn’t right, and we can identify that together.
The office is simply a small living room. You are welcome to bring your coffee or tea with you, even a snack if your schedule requires.
While we strive to make our time as productive as possible, real change will require some work on your part between sessions. Therapy requires your complete investment in the process.
